About Spitale HVAC
Heating, cooling and indoor air work for homes and businesses around Grand Rapids and along the Lake Michigan shore, answered around the clock.
What we do
Heating, cooling and the air in between
We repair, replace and maintain furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps and ductless systems, and we handle the equipment that lives around them: water heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, filtration, ventilation and ductwork. For businesses, we service and replace rooftop units, split systems and kitchen make-up air. The full list is on the services page.
The Grand Rapids work runs from our service office on 3 Mile Rd NW, on the northwest side where the city meets Walker. Our head office is on N Roosevelt Rd in Stevensville, on the lakeshore in Berrien County. One phone number reaches both, any hour.

A person answers
Day or night, someone picks up, asks what the system is doing and walks you through the safe checks.
We diagnose before we quote
Readings first: combustion on furnaces, pressures and temperatures on air conditioners, static pressure on ducts.
You see the price first
Repairs are priced before any part is replaced. On older equipment we price replacement alongside.
The work, tested
Repairs are re-tested; installs are sized by load calculation, permitted and started up with readings.
Paperwork you keep
Readings, model numbers, permit details and rebate forms, left with you.
What stays the same
The standards we hold on every call
We would rather tell you a repair is not worth it than sell you a part for a furnace at the end of its life. When we find something unsafe, such as a cracked heat exchanger or a water heater spilling exhaust, we shut it off, show you what we found and explain the options.
When we are fully booked, in a cold snap or a heat wave, we say so. A call may then be forwarded to another trusted local provider so you are not left waiting in a cold house.
