Furnace and AC repair in Wyoming

Wyoming borders Grand Rapids on the southwest, from the 28th Street corridor down to the neighborhoods off 44th and 54th. It is one of the busiest parts of our map.

The short answer

Wyoming heating and cooling service comes from our office on 3 Mile Rd NW, a short drive north on US-131. We repair and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers and water heaters across Wyoming, from the 28th Street corridor to the southern neighborhoods, and the phone is answered 24 hours a day.

What we see here

Mid-century houses and a busy commercial corridor

Much of Wyoming's housing went up as the old township filled in through the middle of the last century: brick ranches, bungalows and bi-levels with a furnace in the basement and ductwork that was never sized for the central air added later. Those homes are where duct sealing and balancing makes the biggest difference, and where a replacement furnace has to be matched to ducts that are smaller than today's standard.

Along 28th Street and the city's commercial strips, we work on rooftop units and split systems for shops, offices and restaurants, where a failed unit in July is a lost day of business.

Heating and cooling work in Wyoming

Wyoming had 76,501 residents at the 2020 census, the second most-populated community in the Grand Rapids metro, and it became a city in 1959 after the old township suburbanized around the GM Stamping plant. Together with Grand Rapids and Kentwood it anchors a metro of about 1.15 million people, and its housing from that mid-century boom is now on its second or third furnace.
